I believe Obama beat McCain like a rented mule. While I disagree with about 85% of what Obama says, his delivery was much more calculated and spoke to the issues more succinctly.
John McCain gave a bunch of "pie in the sky" talking points pertaining to his positions, and even came out with a completely un-Republican idea of buying up homeowner mortgages to compete with Obama's give-a-way programs.
John McCain's campaign is disorganized and he isn't a great candidate in my opinion....I am bracing myself for President Obama on November 4th.
I haven't enjoyed these debates too much because I feel that both candidates just rehearse stump speeches. The debate format limits the debaters to really get their hands dirty with the issues. What this does is not let them actually attack each other in person.
I think they should do away with the time constraints and moderator, give them a topic and say go. Let them be done when there is nothing left to say; this is the only way we will truly see the candidates for what they are. Right now they both appear to be cowards by attacking the opponent in tv ads and rally's but never to their opponents face.
I completely agree with your assessment. Not that I think it is the most important issue to discuss in this campaign, BUT McCain has been spending a lot of money on ads pertaining to Obama's association to the terrorist Bill Ayers.
Why didn't he call Obama out on this on national TV? They smile to each other's faces and kill each other on the stump. You may be right, perhaps it is cowardice.
I think a victory for Obama is not looking like an idiot. And I do not believe Obama looked like an idiot in that debate.
Obama supposedly is the inexperienced one and yet he can debate even against those with 20+ experience in the Senate. In other words, any ties are actually good for Obama.
I guess there has to be a winner, only I find it hard to find one when everyone(including myself) is almost 100% sure about their vote.
ReplyDeleteYou can't listen to the media for a winner, they won't give you an honest opinion.
Your own preconceived notions about the candidate make it too hard choose a winner.
Everyone is trying to be too objective and you can see right through it.
All that being said neither won, it was a toss.

McCain looked his best during the last debate, but many polls still have Obama as the winner.
