Palin vs. Biden

I am wondering when we will stop nominating least-common-denominator candidates to lead us...or better yet, dump the two-party system altogether.

Quick quiz:

What's more ridiculous?

Sarah Palin's pathetic "I have foreign policy experience because my state borders Russia" statement

OR

this moronic (yet hilarious) gem from gaff master extraordinaire, Joe Biden?

  1. This was obviously a dumb comment made by Biden, but I do not believe he was intentionally being ignorant.

  2. I don't believe he was intentionally being ignorant either. Nor do I believe Sarah Palin's comment was intentionally ignorant.

It is ironic however that he started his comment by saying that you need a president who knows what he is talking about....and then makes that numbskull comment.

I guess as the great Forrest Gump says, "stupid is as stupid does".

  3. I guess my point was that Biden would take his gaff back, while Palin would gladly stick by her claim.

  4. Mark, unfortunately, you are probably right. To me, Sarah Palin is as unqualified to be vice-president as Barack Obama is to be president.

My original point with this post was, in today's world...with the economy in a downturn and terrorists around the world that want to kill us, the best we can produce for leaders are these four clowns?

There isn't a viable candidate in this race who understands the economy. There isn't one who has any respect for the Constitution. There isn't one who has tangible executive experience. It is a pretty sad commentary on the state of America, when this is the best we can do.

I guess W really lowered the standards on what a leader should be. At least I can wake up the day after my birthday (Nov 4th) knowing that whoever has won the election, W will be gone in a few short months thereafter. That's a decent birthday present.

  5. A large majority of the american people say that they would want a president that they could sit down and have coffee with. It's a good thing that our country is just as ill-informed as our candidates for the white house.
